How to Relieve Hay Fever Naturally

Watery eyes, constant sneezing and coughing. Pharmacies stocking up on antihistamines, inhalers, nose sprays and eye drops. Ah it must be to welcome glorious spring. Studies have shown that 1 in 4 Europeans suffer from hay fever. In the peak season, it is the most aggressive and sometimes even medicine can't help to alleviate. It is a love hate for most people in Western Europe. Spring promises a new beginning, plants, trees, insects and many animals wake up from their winter sleep. Pollen Be Gone
Pollen must stay outside. Try to resist opening the windows and doors if you don't have filters. Therefore, when returning from work and before going to bed,it is advisable to change into your pajamas in a different room and leave your clothes there. This is to prevent pollen in your bedroom. The pollen is still on your clothes, jeans, T-shirts and yes, even on your favorite Karen Millen dress. If you want a good night's sleep, leave your clothes outside. The pollen can already be on your clothes while drying them out. If you are drying your clothes outside, it is better to leave them in the laundry room afterwards.
Wash Your Hair Before You Go to Bed
What does a peaceful sleep and washing of hair got to do with one another? More than you think. The pollen is on your hair as well. Therefore, lying in bed without washing your hair can be problematic. The pollen will be transferred to your pillow and will irritate your eyes and nose. Those who wash their hair before going to bed increase the chances of night's rest without any disturbances.
When It's Raining, Go Outside

You can finally go out because all the pollen has settled and the rainfall acts like a natural pollen filter. Your chest opens up and you can breathe again. Go outside when the rain has stopped but not at the first drop. The rain drops are still pushing the pollen down.
Honey From the Region
There is a widespread belief that locally produced honey can alleviate symptoms, the honey acts like a vaccine. Bees that jump from one flower to the next end up covered in pollen spores, which are then transferred to their honey. Eating that honey, just a spoonful a day can build up immunity through gradual exposure to the local allergens that can make life so miserable for allergy sufferers. Honey from the region seems like the most logical choice.

Garlic is extremely anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-viral, boosts the immune system and is therefore a great support for your body in terms of dealing with the invaders that cause hay fever. The allicin in garlic is also a powerful antibiotic, which fights infection and bacteria. British researchers gave 146 people a garlic extract for 12 weeks. The garlic takers were two-thirds less likely to catch a cold. Other studies suggest that garlic lovers who eat more than six cloves a week have a 30 percent lower rate of colorectal cancer and a 50 percent lower rate of stomach cancer.
Citrus Fruits
Citrus fruits are famous for their high Vitamin C content. A big orange provides 100 Milligram of Vitamin C. Of course you can use all other types of citrus fruits like Grapefruit, Lemon, Clementine and Lime in your shakes and juices. Just go for fresh fruit or freshly squeezed juices though.
